Un rien de trop
Hypersensitivity is a personality trait that remains stigmatized in today’s society, often misunderstood as a mental disorder. With Un rien de trop, the artist seeks to showcase hypersensitivity through personal experiences and testimonials.
Set in a dreamlike and offbeat universe, the work blends staged imagery, landscapes, and objects. Like a kind of personal diary, it represents the highs and lows of this heightened trait across the seasons—one that is not only tied to emotions, but also deeply connected to the five senses: taste, touch, smell, hearing, and sight.

Tenersi stretto
Tenersi stretto is an intimate photographic project based on the artist’s personal experience with Alzheimer’s disease, seen through the lives of their two paternal grandparents, Gianni and Nella, each affected by the condition in their own way.
Blending poetry and tenderness, she narrates the gradual decline of these relationships and the erosion of memory over time, presented across two volumes: Testa dura, dedicated to the grandfather, and Rosso di sera, bel tempo si spera, focusing on the grandmother. The project brings together words (letters and dialogues), images (portraits, staged scenes, self-portraits), along with archives and collages.
Her artistic approach oscillates between truth and surrealism, aiming to capture the complexities of identity bonds and the absurd nature of the disease. It is a journey through past, present, and childhood, seeking to show how illness can abruptly destabilize family dynamics. Above all, Tenersi stretto is about the collision of three worlds, driven by the hope of countering the destructive effects of the disease with sensitivity and humor—to hold on to everything that still remains possible.

Lisa Bertoldi (1999, CH-IT) graduated from the Vevey School of Photography (CEPV) in 2023 with a professional diploma (ES), after earning a federal certificate (CFC) in photography there in 2021.
Her work explores themes related to memory, intimacy, childhood, and the psyche, often through a dreamlike and absurd approach, blurring the line between reality and imagination.
Deeply interested in how personal stories can carry universal meaning, she uses images as a way to conduct poetic visual investigations into human emotions and everyday experiences. Through photography, as well as video and writing, she enjoys pushing the boundaries of documentary storytelling.
