Un rien de trop

Hypersensitivity remains, even today, a territory often misunderstood, too quickly reduced to a disorder, when it is above all a way of being in the world, more permeable, more intense. In the blink of an eye, something seemingly insignificant can suddenly become too much.

Through fragments of stories, testimonies, and echoes of her own experience, she seeks to give voice to this trait, like a kind of intimate journal. As the seasons unfold, landscapes shift and transform, mirroring inner variations between withdrawal, overflow, calm, and silence. Nature then becomes a living ground for experimentation and expression. To be hypersensitive is not only to feel deeply, but also to perceive every sound, texture, and scent with heightened acuity.

Un rien de trop thus offers a sensory immersion, at the threshold between fragility and strength, where the invisible seeks to become visible. Then, sometimes, in the midst of excess, something simply falls into place.

Tenersi stretto

Tenersi stretto is an intimate photographic project based on the artist’s personal experience with Alzheimer’s disease, seen through the lives of their two paternal grandparents, Gianni and Nella, each affected by the condition in their own way.
Blending poetry and tenderness, she narrates the gradual decline of these relationships and the erosion of memory over time, presented across two volumes: Testa dura, dedicated to the grandfather, and Rosso di sera, bel tempo si spera, focusing on the grandmother. The project brings together words (letters and dialogues), images (portraits, staged scenes, self-portraits), along with archives and collages.

Her artistic approach oscillates between truth and surrealism, aiming to capture the complexities of identity bonds and the absurd nature of the disease. It is a journey through past, present, and childhood, seeking to show how illness can abruptly destabilize family dynamics. Above all, Tenersi stretto is about the collision of three worlds, driven by the hope of countering the destructive effects of the disease with sensitivity and humor—to hold on to everything that still remains possible.

Lisa Bertoldi

Lisa Bertoldi (1999, CH-IT) is a photographer graduated from the Vevey School of Photography (CEPV) in 2023 with a professional diploma (ES), after earning a federal certificate (CFC) in photography there in 2021.

Her work explores themes related to memory, intimacy, childhood, and the psyche, often through a dreamlike and absurd approach, blurring the line between reality and imagination.

Deeply interested in how personal stories can carry universal meaning, she uses images as a way to conduct poetic visual investigations into human emotions and everyday experiences. Through photography, as well as video and writing, she enjoys pushing the boundaries of documentary storytelling.
