Stéphanie Gygax is a Swiss-born photographer currently living in Zurich. She holds a degree from the School of Applied Arts in Vevey and completed a further education programme in 2015 to obtain a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Research and Art Knowledge at Zurich University of the Arts. Her artistic projects, which combine an offbeat approach to documentary with an intimate and distinctive gaze, were featured in a number of artspaces, museums and book fairs. Producing zines as well as books and collaborating closely with various independent publishers, she is very involved in the design process and occasionally works as an art director. A lecturer at HEAD – Genève School of Art and Design since 2003, she developed a curriculum which explores the relationship between photography and printed matter.
