Atelier de Malley Dix ateliers d'artistes offerts par la Ville de Lausanne Délai : 07.06.2013 www.lausanne.ch Dix nouveaux ateliers en contrat de confiance Dans le cadre des soutiens à la création artistique professionnelle, le Service de la culture et le Service du logement et des gérances sont en train d'ouvrir une dizaine de nouveaux ateliers d’artistes à Malley. Ces ateliers sont situés à l'avenue du Chablais 18, à Lausanne, dans un bâtiment de deux étages qui a longtemps abrité les bureaux des anciens abattoirs, puis ceux de l'Opéra de Lausanne. Ils sont mis à disposition des artistes, à des conditions très avantageuses, jusqu'à fin 2015. La surface de ces ateliers est de 10 à 90 m2. La plupart ont un caractère de bureau ou de local neutre utilisable comme atelier. Certains, dont un bureau directorial vintage et un ancien laboratoire sur deux niveaux, comportent un point d’eau. Chacun dispose d’un accès à des espaces communs (cuisine, sanitaires, hall). Quelques caves peuvent être accordées en complément d’un atelier. Tous les ateliers peuvent être partagés entre plusieurs artistes et certains, qui comptent plusieurs pièces communicantes, seront prioritairement attribués à des collectifs. Les occupant-e-s n'auront pas de loyer à payer, car les locaux sont mis gratuitement à disposition, en l'état, avec une convention de prêt à usage (contrat de confiance). Les artistes devront par contre s’acquitter des charges qui, à titre indicatif, s'élèvent à environ CHF 150.–/mois forfaitaires pour un local de 25 m2 et comprennent chauffage, eau, électricité, taxe déchets, etc. ainsi que le nettoyage des parties communes et une connexion internet. Ces ateliers sont destinés à des artistes lausannois-es du domaine des arts visuels et du design. L'attribution se fait sur concours pour une entrée au 1er juillet 2013. Envoyer un dossier complet jusqu'au 7 juin 2013 au Service de la culture, place de la Palud 2, case postale 6904, 1002 Lausanne. Le dossier comportera le formulaire "Demande atelier Chablais 18" dûment rempli, une lettre de motivation, un CV et une présentation de la démarche artistique avec la reproduction d'au moins trois œuvres (12 pages maximum). The award comprises an individual first prize of $10,000, second prize of $1,000 and third prize of $500. Additionally, twenty-two artists will be selected for online exhibition and a piece of writing will be commissioned from the award jurors The inaugural edition of this twice-annual prize is focused on contemporary art photography, with future awards alternating focus on specific disciplines, with curated themes and critical surveys. We are extremely pleased and excited to have the hugely respected and admired curators and writers Diana Edkins and Charlotte Cotton as the jurors for this first edition of the award. Against this setting, applicants to the inaugural prize are invited to submit up to 16 images of current work from a wholly or partially photo-based practice, using any photographic process or medium. Applications should be accompanied by a resume, and text of up to 400 words detailing the artist's research and practice. Les mouvements politiques, artistiques, ou identitaires tout comme les phénomènes économiques ou environnementaux reflètent les multiples impulsions qui poussent les valaisans à agir d'une certaine façon ou à répondre à des situations déterminées par divers types de comportements. Prix Résidence pour la Photographie 2014 Fondation des Treilles, Tourtour, FR Délai / deadline : 01.09.2013 www.les-treilles.com Le prix Résidence pour la Photographie de la Fondation des Treilles a été créé en 2011. Ce prix a pour vocation d’aider à la production d’œuvres photographiques ayant pour thème le monde méditerranéen. Octroyé sur une période allant de deux à huit mois, le prix Résidence pour la Photographie est constitué à la fois : d’une allocation en espèces, d’un montant mensuel de 2 650 €, dont la durée de versement ne pourra excéder 8 mois, et d’un accueil en résidence. Celui-ci ne peut être inférieur à 1 mois, notamment pour assurer la réalisation des épreuves sur place. Lors de leurs séjours aux Treilles, les lauréats sont logés dans la maison de La Bergerie. Les repas et le ménage sont assurés par la Fondation, ce qui leur permet de se consacrer entièrement à la réalisation de leur projet photographique. Pour la réalisation de leurs travaux, ils disposent sur le domaine : d’un atelier numérique doté d’un ordinateur professionnel et d’une imprimante à pigments giclés de grand format, d’un laboratoire argentique, doté d’un agrandisseur multiformat, qui permet à ceux qui le désirent le développement et le tirage d’images en noir et blanc. Les lauréats pourront également bénéficier, à la Grande Maison, d’une bibliothèque et de liaisons informatiques. Eager - Hiding with Apple Magazine call for submissions Délai / deadline : 31.12.2013 www.didyousayeager.com EAGER is a young Dutch photography platform aiming at inspiring photographers to make conceptual photo work. One of our yearly activities is a co-creation photography project in which we challenge photographers to contribute to join in. Why? Just because we love conceptual photography! We aim for contributions from at least 100 countries, including Switzerland. Last year we started the Follow the Red Line quest in which we hunted for a photo series with self-portraits containing a red line. Our 2013 project is 'Hiding with Apple'. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away", a wise old woman said. So unless your name is Snowwhite, let's get started with that apple!
