Biography

Born in 1991, Mathilda Olmi lives and works in Lausanne. She graduated from the Photography School of Vevey (CEPV) in 2015. Her first book «A bird in the hand» was published by Editions FP&CF in 2017. Mathilda works mainly with portraits, landscapes and still lifes. Her new series «Mimosa Pudica» reveals her reflection about the position of women in today’s Western society and the representation of femininity, approaching notions of intimacy, home and maternity. Light, colors, and materials are at the center of her humble practice, that nevertheless assumes the need for little things.
